{review of} aden+anais swaddles & mum+bub skin care

You've all heard of aden+anais. I know you have. If you haven't, then you need to leave this page, go to Google and type them in. Like, now. I'll wait.

....

Amazing, right?! I am amazed at how incredibly quickly this company has grown to be a household name that everyone knows - and wants. This is what a+a has to say for themselves:

Today, aden + anais, has brought the legacy of muslin together with fashion forward design to create a line of products that are as stylish as they are useful; and as simple as they are beautiful. We believe in muslin-- the way it looks, the way it feels, the way it works-- to improve the lives of babies and their mothers no matter who they are or where they live.

The proof is in every product we make.

I mean, I'm inspired. I'm inspired by nearly everything they make, I'm inspired by their craftsmanship, I'm inspired by their branding, I'm inspired by their commitment to making and creating quality and innovative products for babies.

So, was I head-over-heels, doggone excited when I came home to receive THIS in the mail???:

You know it. I instagrammed this and said "My senses are in heaven." (By the way - follow us on Insta!) And they really were. The muslin is beautiful to see and feel, and the mum+bub skin care line smells divine. I couldn't wait to get the classic swaddles washed and quilted up, and I couldn't wait to have Baby Girl to lather her up with the mum+bub line.

{the verdict}

I received the aden+anais classic swaddles in "for the birds." They are seriously so beautiful! I threw them in the wash and dryer a couple of times for them to get really quilted and soft (they get softer with each wash) for when my daughter was to arrive.

Then, finally, she came. As a+a says, "Despite the hot days and the cold nights, muslin swaddles helped keep babies comfortable. And, most importantly, the very act of swaddling seemed to build a bond between mothers and their babies." This is particularly important for us because we live in crazy hot temps in Arizona - so wrapping her in the muslin was so nice because it was breathable and not too hot (the blankets at the hospital are SO hot and scratchy and stiff, that wrapping her in this was refreshing!).

I also received the mum+bub skin care line. I got to try the soothing ointment, hair + body wash, and ultra-gentle lotion. Dang these things smell amazing!

The key ingredients these products are pawpaw fruit extract (Carica Papaya), Shea butter (skin conditioning agent) and lightly scented with Australian Sandalwood (the soothing ointment is scented with vanilla) and is free of phytoestrogen, parabens, petroleum oils, phthalates, gluten and soy.

I loved that my daughter's very first bath was with these incredibly wonderful products, and their smell fills the air with deliciousness, and the Australian Sandalwood is a truly wonderful scent.

{loves}

  • the swaddles are SO soft, and get softer with washing
  • beautiful colors/prints
  • great as a blanket/nursing cover/etc.

{overall}

I'm so incredibly grateful to have received these amazing products from aden+anais. The quality is beyond any other, and I'm so excited that these products will be a part of A Newborn Collective Giveaway coming up in a week!!

Have you ever used aden + anais products??
