Thinking about: Family. A dear friend of ours lost his father this weekend and it's time like these that you begin to realize that we are on the cusp of that age range where parents start to become ill and eventually pass away. I tend to be pretty guarded with our extended families, both my husband's and I's. (Yeah, I've got my issues!) But over this holiday season I have been trying to be more mindful about the importance of offering my true self to those around me. If for no other reason; life is short friends. Way too short!!
Reading: Blogs! I love my fellow community of "mom-bloggers!" Anna Kate, Corinna, and Morgan are always open on my phone so I can check out their latest posts. And then there is Grace of Camp Patton. Do you read her too? Okay, who doesn't? She is amazeballs! My husband can always tell when I'm reading her blog by my audible and uncontrollable laughter.
Listening to: have I mentioned I'm in love with Justin Timberlake? Okay, don't judge me! But I still have his double disc CD on repeat, especially when I wanna dance around the house while I'm cleaning. Totally gets me groovin'!
Watching: Just finished the entire first season of Broklynn 99. Watched it all on Hulu over a couple week spread. It was something my husband and I could agree on, with just the right amount of stupid humor and good character development. I mean, don't turn it on if you're expecting something to change your world, but if you want to laugh, I can pretty much guarantee that. Especially if you are an Andy Samburg (SNL) fan.
Thankful for: A perfect, relaxing, joyful yet crazy week off from work to be with my family. Our Christmas was pretty haphazard, but I found myself looking at my kids, like really noticing their little teeth, and their gentle curls, those sweet baby checks. The stuff us moms live off of, but so often get to busy to stop and look. I decided to really take them in, capture all those little intricacies, the best this amateur could, with a mini photo-shoot. We took a walk down the street and stopped where we pleased to get some fun shots. Hope you enjoy! Then go enjoy all those little touches and intricacies of your sweet kid's beauty! This weekend we also went to the Arizona Natural History Museum. Dinosouers, Gold Panning, Old Mines, etc. It was full of fun! And great photo ops ;)
