I finally did it today. I finally walked outside with my girls, camera in hand, ready to capture their moments. It's been far too long.
It's been far too long since I've put my phone down when they call my name, far too long since I close my computer when they come crawling into my lap.
It's been far too long since we've been together.
Today I let myself let go of the constant anxiety, stress and dedication to this other "job," as I like to call it. I set aside the computer and the phone and the constant refreshing of emails to hear back from someone, anyone, (wanna host a giveaway?!). It all was enough for me today to set aside.
The moment was beautiful.
I pulled the girls in the wagon.
I laughed with them at their silly faces.
I actually saw them push each other as opposed to hearing it from the tattler's mouth.
I went to the refrigerator and I got the food out when they told me they were hungry.
I didn't tell them to Hold on.
We were together.
Today was beautiful.
Today, together, with those two girls. It was the most in a long long time.
Today was ours.
